Privacy 101:
Here at the World Running League, your privacy is valued highly! In order to fully understand the WRL policy on user information, it is highly recommended that you read the following information:

Information That You Provide:
1) Any information that you provide (eg: email address) will in no way be sold, rented, shared or given to any other company/individual.
2) All information is transfered in an encrypted form, thus preventing hackers from obtaining it.
3) You will never receive any spam (unsolicited) communications from the WRL.

Information Collected:
In order to continue to optimize the World Running League website, certain information is automatically collected from a user upon entering the website. This information includes, but is not limited to: general location (city), operating system, browser and plugin versions. This information is only used to provide a better understanding of the environment from which the average user is coming from.

Run Data:
In case you haven‘t already found out, the WRL works by collecting your run data from Nikeplus. Many users wish to keep their run data private and reflect that by setting their profile to "Private". If the user‘s profile is private, how then does the WRL have access to it? The answer lies within the definition of a private profile. On the old nikeplus website, private meant that none of the data could be accessed. However, on the new site, private means that information such as location, profile picture, powersong, etc... is kept private, while a user‘s runs are public. If you are not comfortable with the WRL retrieving your run data, please do not join the WRL as this is required.
