What is the World Running League?
The World Running League is an online running league/community that helps runners (and walkers too!) accomplish goals by providing friendly competition. In addition, participants are encouraged to connect through forums, chat boxes, private messagine, profiles and more!
How does the World Running League work?
The WRL operates by collecting user's run/walk data from online tracking websites*. Users are placed on teams where they compete weekly against other teams. The mileage collected from the online tracking websites is used to create graphs and charts so runners can visualize their team's progress. After the World Running League week ends (Wed-Fri EST), the team who is in the lead is awarded 3 points. At the end of the 8 week season, the top 8 teams advance to the playoffs, where teams compete in an elimination style tournament to decide the top two teams. These two teams will play each other in the Super Runner Bowl, for the World Running League title.
How much does the World Running League cost?
The World Running League is absolutely FREE! By running ads on our website, we make enough money to cover the expenses of webhosting and domain names. So you will never be charged anything to participate in the World Running League.
